The Brain Fog program is an innovative clinical program designed to address the physical, neurological and cognitive impacts of Brain Fog from Long Covid, Concussion or other conditions. This transformative initiative is delivered by a team of multidisciplinary clinical specialists at the Centre for Clinical Excellence for Veterans and First Responders Health. Participants can fully benefit from the program's personalized approach, encompassing expertise from a multidisciplinary team of professionals specializing in mental health, sleep, fitness, and nutrition. Your team will consist of practitioners such as clinical counsellors, exercise physiologists, kinesiologists, sleep coaches, and nutritionists.
This multi-disciplinary program begins with a detailed assessment and screening to evaluate the cause and severity of symptoms. Participants are assigned to the most the suitable pathway, categorized as Low, Moderate, or High severity. This initial evaluation is crucial in tailoring the program to meet individual needs effectively.
Over the course of the program, participants undergo two six-week treatment blocks. With additional treatment blocks added as deemed necessary. Treatment blocks include weekly group sessions, digital education & resources, & problem specific intervention delivered by allied health professionals. These treatment blocks are accompanied by regular reassessments, available both virtually and in-person, to ensure consistent monitoring of progress.
Participants receive expert individual consultation and guidance from a dedicated program Navigator coordinating support in various health areas, including nutrition, mental health, sleep, and exercise. Group-based education, support sessions, and digital tools are also integral parts of the program, all aimed at helping participants understand and manage their symptoms within a supportive and collaborative environment.
